We received the wallet in record
time. It is actually a Christmas gift for my brother. Duct tape is kind
of a standing joke for us during the holiday season. Every year at
least one if not more Christmas presents are wrapped and “trapped” with
duct tape. When I saw the article in the newspaper about your wallets
it seemed like the appropriate gift.
Just a marketing note for you,
there is a Canadian version of the Million Dollar Bill out there. I
know because I have one, and Googled it to be sure it was still
available. Not that I’m anti American, but Canadian Made Products
deserve to be recognized as such. I could see your product doing very
well at some of the larger craft shows in the Calgary market. Festival of Crafts comes
to mind specifically. It’s unique and reasonably priced.
Kindest regards,
Carolyn

Hi
Kathy,
I
actually just gave it to my husband this week as it was an annivesary
gift. I think that he might have to run it over with his trucka couple
of times to get it to loosen up though. Other than that it is
fantastic!

Hello
Kathy,
Well I am not
personally using it as the wallet was a gift, but I know the owner is
using it well and its working well so far thanks.

Hi
Kathy,
The wallets look
good. One will go to my brother as an Xmas gift and I’m using
the other.
The
“ducthide” has a nice feel to it.
Thanks,
Ted

Its
awesome !! I gave it to my 26-year old son and he is showing
it off to his co-workers. Your email just reminded me that I

First email:
Kathy,
Thanks
for the info. I came across your website when I was updating my
lecture
here on biological aging and was looking for some info on Leonard
Hayflick.
I just about fell on the floor laughing when I saw your ad for
the
Hayflick Hoarder! Such a clever and hilarious idea! I had to buy a
couple
and am also planning to share your web link with my other
colleagues
in geriatrics and gerontology here. And to think I thought Red
Green
was the only Canadian associated with duct tape wallets!
Thanks
again,
Steve

Second email:Kathy,Just wanted to advise that my first Hayflick wallets
arrived today and they are great -- I am planning to bring to my class
this week and will definitely get some entertainment value out of
them! I also wanted to advise that I am placing another order
tonight for a few more that I am planning to use as gifts for guest
speakers in my class. These are people who all work in the field of
geriatrics and who will definitely get the joke. When I place the
order, can you apply my $5.00 credit? Thanks, Steve

Love Them! The kids were so happy with them. We make
duct tape bags but think you do a great job on your wallets!!

19037 Colorful Duct Tape Wallets IS THIS TYPICAL?I got this for my
husband for father's day and I thought it was a great idea. However, a month
into use, it makes everything sticky. All his credit cards and ID cards have the
sticky residue on it from the duct tape at the seams of the pockets. His ATM
card got stuck in the machine and we had to order another card. I used goo-gone
and was able to get most of the sticky residue off the cards and now am
searching for a new wallet for him.
Our Response to Uncommon Goods
Good Day Heather,
Thank you for bringing this to our
attention.
This is the first complaint we have gotten of this
type and we think we know what occurred. Quite likely there was a flaw in the
way the wallet pockets were attached to the wallet shell and this is a simple
fix.

this customer's loyalty to Uncommon Goods.
- We will provide a free wallet without design flaws
to the customer along with a letter of apology
- We will provide a full refund of the retail price to

how we can rectify this situation while retaining the loyalty of this
customer
Our association with Uncommon Goods is extremely
important to us and you have our assurance that we will stand behind our
products and answer every concern.
This morning we are investigating our assembly

gave away 5 DuctHide Wallets to my security team and some close
associates while working in Basra, Iraq. In the beggining I wondered if
they would stand up to the 45° C temperatures but they appear to have
faired well.
Even though I don't think your wallets are tough enough to stop a bullet, the guys like them.
Tim M. - SaskatoonAfter
a year of hard use, my old DuctHide wallet needs replacing. Its the
best wallet I've had and the only one that many people have commented
on.
Cheri B. - Beadlestore.com TorontoHello Kathy,
Just wanted to let you know that I have received the wallets. They are even
better than I could have imagined. I'm sure I'll be back again very soon to get
more.
Thank you so much!

A Complaint from a Non CustomerBill F. - Jenn's Perfect Presents SaskatchewanI note you are proud saskatchewanians serving the
world.,but you fill your wallets with a copy of an american $1,000,000.00 bill.
Is that perhaps a mis step on the marketing end or should you revisit the proud
saskatchewanians and substitute proud americans.
No need to respond to this e-mail as I won't be
buying.
Thank you for your time
DuctHide:
Well, we are proud to be Saskatchewanians AND proud to be able to give
away million dollar bills - even if they are American. We agree
with you that our products wouldn't be a good fit for your store and
thank you for taking the time to tell us so. Bill is referring to a sample package we send out to potential retailers of our products. See below:
